Our focus in 2019 & beyond.

IS IT TIME? WE SAY: YES.

The image above, the cover to an essay I wrote in 2016 titled:

Jewelry/Art: Is It Time To Redefine What Is Valuable?

All of human history can be boiled down to these these verbs: want, take, and have.

And what better illustration of this principle that the history of jewelry?

Topics that keep us up at night: Capitalism, Consumerism and Celebrity Culture, Social and Environmental Injustice and Food Literacy…How to do we create awareness about the human and environmental abuses in order to influence and inform? How do we use our purchasing power in a positive way?

Mostly we ponder personal responsibility and relationships we have as consumers to unconscious choices that we make every minute that fuels a capitalistic society of injustice. Our personal journey of responsibility in this realm comes forward in the everyday choices around our own consumerism. However, specifically takes shape in regard to what we do to earn a living: jewelry/art making.
